*Many of my blog friends were called names or talked down to for no apparent reason by a blog troll yesterday. You can have a passionate opposing view and still represent yourself tactfully. So no apologies here for posting this.

  1. ew! thankfully I haven't run into this yet. People are so weird. Get a life!

  2. I saw that too. You were nice enough to cover the person's name that wrote that. I understand that things can get heated, especially in politics, but you are never going to convince people of the legitimacy of your opposing view point by insulting and calling names. Can't we just respectfully debate or agree to disagree? We are adults, right? Sometimes, I think that is forgotten behind a computer screen.

  4. Troll have such a sodding sad life, that's why they do things like this.

  5. How sad that people have nothing better to do in their lives than this! I hope one day this person will direct their energy to something more positive. They must be a pretty miserable person to act this way.

  6. It really is unfortunate! But, from working with a large internet organization, trolls come to get attention and by posting about it publicly, they are getting exactly what they wanted. Most times it is best to ignore and delete!

    1. Totally agree! While I didn't respond to being called a "stupid bitch"... I thought twice about posting this and giving them attention. In a way though I felt like I'm standing up for anyone who was actually offended by what this person said.

  9. What in the world?!?! HAHA! I commented on Raven's comments too. This isn't me right? LOL! Also, please teach me how to add the "reply" section to comments. I embedded it under comments but I still can't?! grr!!

  10. I feel so honored to have made it on the troll comments!! This "blacked out blogger" just goes on blogs to say mean things. It is actually quite pathetic and she must me a miserable, miserable person.

  11. I totally check out this blog for the entertainment value of the comments. I was a bit surprised to see you post this, though. Why are you giving it any of your attention at all? She seems way insignificant to me. And much how I feel Raven makes conservatives look not very intelligent with her posts, this particular girl makes liberals look terrible too. It's sad to see the far extremes of our country go at it. No wonder we are in such a bad way. No one can get along! Sad stuff.

    1. You're right. It is insignificant. Mostly I didn't have a blog post today, thought this was funny, and posted it for my own satisfaction...

I admit though, not the most noble thing I've done.

  12. this is extremly timely! yesterday on NPR they had a story about how Gawker just unmasked a HUGE internet troll from the website redditt. it's so interesting that people find joy in getting other people worked up.

  13. Oh my gosh!! Seriously, who would spend their time doing that. Sounds like one classy lady! I'm so happy I haven't come across anything like this yet. xoxo

  14. i agree trolls can so live under the bridge for sure!! go hide and never come out

  15. people shouldn't write that kind of things, if they don't like something, easy, don't read it, and go away, why be so negative and rude :/

  16. I agree with so many commenters above in that I just don't understand mean people! If you have nothing nice to say, just move along! I'm so sorry that happened on such a great, positive and uplifting site like yours. People need to learn and practice niceness!

  17. Loved this post. I think I need to start moderating comments: I never wanted to before, but letting idiots be mean to my readers isn't ok. It's one thing if they want to be rude to me, quite another If they attack my readers.

    Love you!
