Dear Las Vegas,

While visiting your city last week I noticed something that needs to brought to your attention.
Leggings are NOT pants.
No, I'm not talking about your yoga pants, your thick dry fit workout leggings.

Leggings are acceptable with long shirts (aka tunics) that cover your behind. In fact, I love them.

Leggings are thin and supposed to be worn UNDER something else.

Most of the time, when you wear a regular length top, we can see every little thing underneath your leggings. Which is why they are not to be worn out of the house as pants.

But wait, you say they're so comfortable?

That's what JEGGINGS are for. Jeans and leggings=jeggings. Get it? They're thicker and have more shape than leggings so you don't look like you forgot to get dressed, the world doesn't see your jiggly butt, and you get to be comfortable!

Need some help? See some inspiration I've provided for you below.

Save the rest of us and throw on a longer shirt.

Love,
Someone who cares about your well being.

  4. Bahaha. I laughed so hard when I read this. I wish you would have posted pics of your experience :) I used to teach high school and saw girl's who missed the memo completely and would wear PANTY HOSE under short tops with NO shorts or skirts. I'm talking bare butt cheeks and some nylon. Sometimes people just don't get it.

  22. AGREED. I'm always shocked that anyone would wear mere tights as pants. Yikes! Do yourself a favor and DON'T, people!

  23. Haha.. 10000% agreed! I can't believe how many people still wear leggings as pants. Isn't it well known that it's a complete and utter no-no? *sigh*

I love leggings as much as the next girl, but I know and live by the 1st rule of leggings and that is to cover your bum! ;0)

P.S. Las Vegas I still love you
