I went to Vancouver for the weekend!
It was beautiful and rainy. I fell in love with the Pacific Northwest.
I promise to do a trip post manana...(that's tomorrow in Spanish ;) just in case)
All of the girls in Canada had on 1 of 2 styles of boots there.
Number 1, obviously...

No explanation needed. Case closed.
Number 2, I was surprised by.

Not because they aren't cute. Because I saw them in magazines and didn't understand how they would translate into day to day life without being over the top military/tough girl. These awesome Canadians paired them with soft and girly looks I would normally label "ballet flats."
I want.
What do you think?
I think that I LOVE both styles. Seriously I have wanted a pair of Hunter boots for so long but they would pretty much sit in my San Diego closet... ally year. Eh? What's a girl to do?
ReplyDeleteAlso, I actually have a brown pair of the second boots you wrote about. I wear them when it's colder with skinny jeans, leggings, and girly dresses :)
So jealous of your trip :)
I love both styles! But you know me I love my hunters! So glad you had a great trip!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I really love Hunter boots but it's never cold in Houston! And I wouldn't think those military boots would look that great, but you're right - they're gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI AM DYING FOR A PAIR OF HUNTERS. not even kidding. I was feeling kind of eh about the second boots in the picture just by themselves, but they are a lot cuter when you add the right clothes. :]I especially love that second outfit.
ReplyDeleteVancouver!! Can't wait to hear about it!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I want Hunters realllll bad. But it doesn't ever rain in Houston anymore.
I love those wellies, of course. I have been looking at motorcycle boots and liking the look but thinking that they look too tough - I think these military boots are more what i need. thanks for the idea. :)
ReplyDeleteYa those kinds of shoes are all over the place around here. I'm still warming up to them. I love the Wellies though. Welcome back from you trip =)
ReplyDeleteBTW I'm guest posting about mommy fashion over at The Short and the Sweet of It this morning. You should stop by if you get a second =)

I saw a lot of those boots in Germany as well! Mostly the second since it was pretty warm and sunny the whole time I was there. I was surprised by it as well, but inspired too :)
ReplyDeletei want i want i want!!! love them all. I just dont know how i would pull them off. confidence I guess!!
ReplyDeleteI love those lace up boots! So cute
ReplyDeleteI am Canadian and I don't wear boots like that and I don't see girls with that here! Must be a northwestern thing!
ReplyDeletei adore the lace up boots. ADORE. i think i would wear them more often than other boots. i love how they add an edge to otherwise soft and feminine outfits.
ReplyDeleteI love both!!! :) I seriously have a large obsession with Fall boots! They're all so cute!!
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised (and thrilled) to say that I love the combat style boots paired with feminine clothes! I'm a big fan :) And I of course love Hunter wellies :)
