Sangria. Easy as 1, 2, 3.

Sangria is one of my favorite dinner drinks, especially in the summer. Impress with a pitcher of sangria when friends are over...or pour yourself a glass after a long day at work!

Step 1: Cut.

Cut up your choice of fruit. Pick two or three from the following: oranges, apples, lemons, strawberries...any other suggestions?

Step 2: Mix.

One bottle of red wine (really, any will do!) 1 cup brandy, 1 cup triple sec. (Or substitute both for vodka!) A splash (about a cup) of orange juice or pomegranate juice (or both!)

Step 3: Add.

Add your fruit. It should float to the top of the pitcher, don't fill up the whole thing. Add some ice cubes.

...And you're all done!

Obviously I've made this really flexible, but honestly sangria is REALLY hard to mess up. If you don't like a strong drink, I'd add the alcohol slowly and taste test. I typically go for the vodka with some orange juice but you can really do a lot with this.

Enjoy! :)

  7. Love sangria!! There are so many different recipes floating around online, but I think you hit the nail on the head- it's all about tasting it as you make it and see what you like. I'll be trying this one out when summer comes around here.
